About Lowdy
Founder of Lowdy
Designer, Dreamer, Soul-led creator.
Lowdy began quietly, as a gentle idea that wouldn’t leave.
After stepping away from a life that no longer fit, I found myself rebuilding slowly, one small step at a time. For a while, it felt like planting seeds in the dark. But just as I reached the end of my studies and began to wonder if it would all come together… everything started to shift. The timing felt like a kind of quiet magic.
Lowdy is the result, a homeware brand rooted in soul, shaped by the Cornish coast, and inspired by stories, textures, and feeling. Each design carries something of that journey: from the rhythm of the sea to the quiet resilience it takes to begin again.
Flora Day draws from the Children’s Dance of Helston’s Flora Day, a celebration of tradition, joy, and tiny feet moving in rhythm with something ancient. The white base of the print reflects the sea of children dressed head to toe in white, weaving through the town like living folklore. Each flower echoes the handmade headdresses, unique to every school, wildflowers, bluebells, and gorse worn with pride. Doors open, houses spill into the streets, and the whole town hums with a rare and beautiful energy.
Senara is inspired by the legend of the Mermaid of Zennor. A mysterious woman, with a voice like silk, would appear in the village church, captivating and otherworldly. One day, her song called to a young man, and he followed her to the sea, never to return. They say she was a mermaid.
This print captures that same sense of pull, bold, bewitching, and impossible to ignore.
These collections are made for real homes and real people, for those who feel deeply and are drawn to beauty with meaning.
If you’re here, thank you. You’re part of something with heart.
And this is only the beginning.
