About Me
Founder of Lowdy
Designer. Dreamer. Soul-led creator.
I’m Jowby, and this brand began quietly a gentle idea that wouldn’t leave me alone. After leaving behind a life that no longer fit, I found myself slowly rebuilding, small step by small step.
For a while, it felt like I was planting seeds in the dark. But just as I reached the end of my studies and wondered if it was all going to work everything started to fall into place. The timing felt like a small kind of magic.
Lowdy Love is the result: a homeware brand rooted in soul, shaped by the Cornish coast, and inspired by stories, textures, and feelings. Each design carries a bit of my journey from my seaside surroundings, and the quiet resilience that’s helped me start again.
Flora Day is inspired by the Children’s Dance of Helston’s Flora Day—a pure burst of tradition, joy, and tiny feet moving in rhythm with something ancient. The white base of the print honours that sea of little dancers, all dressed head to toe in white, weaving through the town like living folklore. Each flower in the design nods to the handmade headdresses, unique to every school—wildflowers, bluebells, and gorse worn with pride. Shop doors burst open with blooms, houses spill into the streets, and the whole town is alive with a very special energy.
Senara is my love letter to the legend of the Mermaid of Zennor. The story goes that a mysterious woman with a voice like silk used to appear in the village church—beautiful, captivating, and not quite like anyone else. One day, her song called out to a young man in the congregation, and he followed her down to the sea… never to return. They say she was a mermaid.
This print nods to that kind of magic—bold, bewitching, and impossible to ignore.
These collections are for real homes and real people for those who feel deeply and love beauty with meaning. If you’re here, thank you. You’re part of something special and full of heart.
And this is only the beginning.
